We work with a number of schools, other Teaching Schools and others to maximise the impact of our work and provide our Alliance members with the best possible opportunities. You can find out more about our partners and collaborators below. If you are interested in working with us, please send an email to Kyra Ings, Teaching School Administrator.
Three Bridges Primary School
Through a partnership initiated by the Regional Schools Commissioner in the South-West, The Mead Teaching School is working alongside Three Bridges Primary School to support the development of mathematics in addition to learning & lesson study across The Mead Academy Trust. This project, started in Spring 2018, spans development work in both Three Bridges and The Mead schools, culminating in a week long study of mathematics learning at The Mead, benefiting teachers and learners in every setting.

Edge Hill University
The Mead Teaching School worked alongside researchers from Edge Hill University to pilot a ground-breaking Maths intervention for primary school children called Maths Counts.

Early Years settings across West Wiltshire
All of these settings work with us on our Early Years Connect programme. The Early Years Practice Development Partners (EYPDPs) that work with us from these settings are pivotal in facilitating Early Years improvement across the region, providing leadership capacity and facilitation of Joint Practice Development (JPD) in response to sector needs.
Multi-Academy Trust School Improvement Action Research
Trust in Learning Academy Trust
Gloucestershire Learning Alliance
The Mead Academy Trust is a proud and active participant in an action research group of Multi-Academy Trusts within the South West. The group meets once a seasonal term to share learning, discuss developments in education and collaborate for the improvement of teaching and learning in all of the schools represented by the trusts.

Avon Teaching School Alliance
We work in close collaborative partnership with our colleagues at the Avon Teaching School Alliance. Lyssy Bolton, Executive Headteacher of The Mead Academy Trust, provides input into the NPQEL qualification provided by Avon.

University of Gloucestershire
Our partnership with the University of Gloucestershire means that we are able to offer a bespoke primary initial teacher training programme to trainee teachers, with Professional Studies and accreditation provided by the University and school experience provided by The Mead Academy Trust. Our programme is consistently rated ‘Good’ or ‘Very Good’ by our students, with higher scores than other School Direct programmes across a range of criteria.

The Athelstan Trust
The Mead Academy Trust has a Memorandum of Understanding with The Athelstan Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of three secondary schools in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. This enables the Executive Headteachers of both Trusts to work closely together on key aspects of their respective Trusts, working in synergy across primary and secondary schools in the region.
