I am currently working as a SENCo, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Attendance Leader and Phase Leader for LKS2.   I have worked in primary mainstream schools with varying levels of vulnerability including significant levels of SEN and EAL. I have been a Special Educational Needs Coordinator for over 2 years.  I have enjoyed leading this aspect of our school development working with professionals in and outside of schools.

I strongly believe that all children are individuals and have the right to be treated as such. Policy and practice should allow all our children, no matter what their ability, to be included, overcome all and any barriers to learning and personal development to ensure they achieve their full potential. I believe that the skills and knowledge we give our children should equip them to be the best they can be and to be happy, confident members of society with high aspirations. This inspires me to want to support colleagues to develop their leadership in order that it makes positive changes to their school’s policy and practice so that it achieves better outcomes for SEND pupils.
